Brittney and Brett’s Grand Hyatt Vail wedding was such a beautiful Colorado celebration. With an outdoor ceremony, a tented reception, and a first look at the top of Vail Mountain, their day brought together so much of what makes a Vail wedding special. It felt elegant and elevated, but there was also plenty of personality and energy throughout the day.
With around 175 guests, Brittney and Brett had plenty of people there to celebrate with them. From getting ready at the Grand Hyatt to dancing late into the night, the entire day felt centered around the people they love most.

Getting Ready at the Grand Hyatt Vail
The Grand Hyatt Vail was the perfect setting to start the day. Located along Gore Creek, the resort has a beautiful alpine feel while still offering the amenities you'd expect from a luxury Vail wedding venue.
The morning was filled with excitement as Brittney and Brett got ready with their closest friends and family. There was plenty of anticipation for the day ahead, but also a lot of laughter and time to simply enjoy being together.
A First Look at the Top of Vail Mountain
Rather than doing their first look at the resort, Brittney and Brett took the gondola up Vail Mountain. Seeing them have that first moment together surrounded by the Colorado mountains was incredible. The views gave us a beautiful backdrop for portraits, but what stood out most was their reaction to each other.
This is one of the things I love about Vail weddings. You can have the polished experience of a luxury resort while still making time to get out into the landscape that brought you to Colorado in the first place. The mountain also gave us a completely different feel from the photographs at the Grand Hyatt. The combination of alpine scenery and the more refined details of the resort created a gallery with plenty of variety.
One of my favorite moments from our time at the top of Veil Mountain was Brittney and Brett’s first look with their dog. It was such a fun way to kick off the wedding festivities!
A Joyful Vail Wedding Celebration
Back at the Grand Hyatt, Brittney and Brett exchanged vows during their outdoor ceremony. After the cocktail hour, the couple and their guests headed into the Gore Pavilion for their tented reception.
The reception was full of personality! There were heartfelt speeches, including a particularly sweet one from Brittney’s dad, and plenty of reasons for everyone to celebrate.
And then there was the dance floor! With an incredible band and a packed dance floor, the reception quickly turned into a party. The hora brought everyone together, with their parents joining in too. It was energetic, joyful, and exactly the kind of moment that makes a wedding gallery feel alive.
Client Testimonial
Sierra was truly incredible, and we could not have asked for a better wedding photographer! From the very beginning, she made us feel so comfortable and completely at ease in front of the camera. She has such a calm, fun presence, and it genuinely felt like having a friend with us throughout the entire wedding day.
Our photos turned out absolutely stunning. Sierra captured everything so beautifully—from all of the big moments to the little candid moments and details we didn’t even realize were happening. Looking through our gallery truly feels like reliving our wedding day.
Beyond being incredibly talented, Sierra was professional, organized, responsive, and such a joy to work with. We are SO grateful to have these photos to look back on for the rest of our lives. If you’re considering Sierra for your wedding, book her—you will not regret it! 5 stars isn’t enough! — Brett and Brittney
A Vail Wedding That Felt Like Them
What I loved most about Brittney and Brett’s wedding was how naturally everything came together. The Grand Hyatt gave them the elegant resort setting, while the top of Vail Mountain brought in the dramatic Colorado scenery. Their family and friends brought the energy.
There were beautiful details and incredible views, but the photographs that stand out most to me are the ones that show Brittney and Brett with the people they love, laughing with their friends, and completely enjoying the day they had spent so much time planning. That combination is what makes a Vail destination wedding so special. You can create a beautiful celebration at a luxury resort while still giving your guests an experience that feels distinctly Colorado!
For Brittney and Brett, it was an incredible day from beginning to end, and I loved getting to document all of it.
